SEO is a very dynamic and fast changing industry, that no search marketing professional can master all the elements involved in it. On-page optimization is basic but to be successful in search engine optimization and rank high on the search engines, constant updating of what you already know is necessary in order not to be left behind.

In other words, a dedicated SEO practitioner has no time to be lazy.
